Commander Ratings Terms of Service

Welcome to Commander Ratings, a web platform designed to allow military personnel to share reviews and ratings of their commanders. By accessing or using Commander Ratings (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Commander Ratings, you acknowledge that you are using the Platform voluntarily and of your own free will. You understand and agree that your decision to publish reviews, ratings, or any other content on the Platform is made at your sole discretion.
2. Nature of the Platform
Commander Ratings is a platform, not a publisher. We provide a space for users to share their opinions and experiences regarding military commanders. Commander Ratings does not create, edit, or control the content posted by users, nor do we endorse or verify the accuracy of any user-generated content. Commander Ratings does moderate content and we strive to vet and confirm information provided by users; however, Commander Ratings is not responsible or legally liable for any content you publish or for any disputes, claims, or objections raised by commanders or other parties regarding the content posted on the Platform.
3. User Responsibility and Liability
You are solely responsible for the content you post on Commander Ratings, including reviews, ratings, comments, or any other materials. By posting content, you represent and warrant that:
- The content is truthful and reflects your genuine opinions or experiences.
- You have the right to post the content and it does not violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
- You understand that posting identifiable details or sensitive information may lead to your identity being discovered by military leadership or other parties.
Commander Ratings is not liable for any consequences, including but not limited to military justice procedures, disciplinary actions, or legal proceedings, that may arise from the content you post or from your use of the Platform. If you include details in your posts that allow military leadership to identify you, you acknowledge that you cannot hold Commander Ratings responsible or liable for any resulting actions taken by military authorities or other parties.
4. Freedom of Speech (U.S. Users)
For users located in the United States, you acknowledge that your right to freedom of speech is protected under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. Commander Ratings operates as a platform that facilitates your exercise of free speech, but you remain responsible for ensuring that your content complies with applicable laws and regulations, including those related to defamation, harassment, or disclosure of classified information.
5. User Conduct
You agree to use the Platform in a manner that is lawful, respectful, and consistent with these Terms. You will not:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Commander Ratings is headquartered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
